"He had the soul of a poet. Unfortunately, the poet in question was Philip Larkin".
Now how the hell can I get that into a conversation?

Damn. I had to study Larkin at school. Mr.Bleany, The Whitsun Weddings. God was that guy miserable. A librarian I think. A librarian who hated his parents and most of the people he met.
A blessed relief when we got on to Arthur Miller's 'Over the Bridge' and got to try out our (cartoon gangster) Brooklyn accents.

..Well, in a great variety of ways, i can imagine.. First hurdle is to draw the conversation(if u have one) towards topics that somehow relates to, or is associated with someone recently departed, be that on a holiday-trip,or gone meet his baker.. Next, u bring up this person, as if out of mind.. ("Well,is´nt that juust like..") ..If the person referred to is/was/could never be accounted for any poetic outlets of any kind, regardless of quality, you´ll simply have to make that bit up yourself, indicating for instance that this fella had a,more or less subtle, hidden side to his personality, into which realms few people ever gained access(You beeing the exception, ofcourse..).. As sentimental recollection settles upon the conversation, you pull your cat out of the bag.. By the way.. Who is Phillip Larkin? ...
