h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm in my first year at bradford after doing my dispensing diploma. Just got a cheap volk lens which is sitting next to me. Should have been £150 got for £58 .

Don't know if I'll be independant though, seems like a lot of hassle.

Yeah, but you do get good money. I can vouch for the fact that it is very stressful, and having to run the premises, look after staff, and all that is quite stressful. And finding a Dispensing Optician is like looking for gold, too, so you are a valuable person to have around. Nothing to stop you working for an independent optician, though! Not suggesting anything, and you know more than me. All I know is that my dad spends much longer than usual with his patients, and is a one-optometrist practice with a trainee dispenser. Lots of stress, but he can always get the holiday he wants...

Ooh - Steed and Mrs. Peel. Don't get me wrong - Honor Blackman was not without her charm, and Tara King was kind of cute (in that "what the hell am I doing here?" sort of way), but neither had the witty banter/sexual innuendo thing down quite like Diana Rigg and Patrick MacNee did. And that's when the series started to get, well, interesting...

yeah- tara stories are a bit too dopey for my liking- have you got any of the dvds? they chopped the tag scee off Escape in time!

'Fraid i'm either going to be working in cheshire, or if I stay with my fella in the isle of wight. My mate lives in west brom though, and has done dispensing and is doing the optom course too.
