I've been trying to use Pliny for a couple of months. It's fine for browsing, and good for typing up Entries, but when it comes to conversations, it doesn't work. 
I've been neglecting to catch up on conversations, simply because the hassle of finding my last unread post is just too much (I know, I know, first world problems).
I doubt this is news to anyone, but hey. It might also explain it if you thought I was ignoring you lately.

Ditto. I rather like the look of Pliny, but the lack of an "X new posts" button remains a dealbreaker. I could be helping out myself on some of the coding, if I were less horribly disorganised. But I really can't right now.

You can either change your preferences to Pliny, or just click on the Front Page, which should put you across to Pliny

I like the search in Pliny, and the reading articles in it... but for conversations its a tad to annoying to use regularly... 
and the lack of an unsubscribe button, on the conversation lis on the PS

The conversations/forums functionality (or lack thereof) in Pliny is one of the main reasons the gutting of it is taking so long.
I'm currently near finished a full strip and rebuild of Pliny, in fact the volunteers are able to test it. I'm even using it as I type this.
There's a *lot* of things that have been fixed, in fact everything listed here as not working, well, now works.
