How did Kat learn the big secret?
The Ghost Of TV's Frink Started conversation Jul 15, 1999
Since Kat is gone for now, I thought I'd see if you know. How did Kat get the "Referenced Entries" and "Referenced Researchers" on her page? Especially considering that others who know (Madmunk, Spartus, etc.) aren't talking...I wonder if she will share when she gets back?

i didn't leave yet, and i thought i would come back for one last hurrah before i left. i have a couple things to say to you frink about my position as refreshments girl. I have decided that while i am gone sandwich maker will take my place, but when i return i want it back!! also, you can't have too much fun without me, i mean it.
as for my referenced entries, that is a secret and it makes me feel special, so you will just have to figure it out.
hugs and fishies to all

Have a good time, Kat!

Studying the code won't help, at least i don't think so, because the translator automatically turns it into actual XML code, so it won't show up....
Kat: you are wise to keep it a secret, it makes those of us in the know seem all that much more powerful.....

Yep, I've studied the code over an' over again... they're having fun with this. Maybe I'll just have to revoke their fishes. Nah, I'd never do that. But it makes you think, doesn't it?

As far as referenced researches and stuff like that.. did you know that if you use the "edit" icon in Explorer you can get a (seemingly) more detailed listing of the code... Since I'm just learning this html/xml/h2g2ml hooey I was just wondering if anyone more knowledgable has taken a look at that... I can't figure it out, but my small mind is workin' on it....

I'll go check it out now, as renewed hope swells back into my psyche...

I already tried again, and ended up as frustrated as I was before. I thought I had it, but my page exploded into a big bag of nonsense. Er....maybe that was the insanity pepper I ate.....anyway, I'm officially giving up on this stuff-in-the-margin-stuff. If those who know don't want to share, then I don't want to know. No more shall I press my forehead up against the monitor, in a vain attempt to force the information through my skull.
I give up, you who know the trick! You have broken me!!!!!
(this is not a sympathy plea in order to learn the big bad secret. I really don't want to know. I'm happy with my little page just the way it is. So there! Nnnahhh!)

Good job. Your page is too interesting for little margin references anyway. I couldn't find it either.

Madmunk won't tell me the code even though I've begged him for weeks. I'll get it out of him some how though. A few sly jabs in the gut might do it though don't you think!

I wouldn't count on it. There must be an award for whoever can hold out the longest, or maybe whoever cracks first gets kicked out of h2g2.
Perhaps we should start a protest group, similar to ARSE (All right, spit everyone!). Let's see, how about PAM (Protest Against Margins)? Maybe GIRR (Gonna' Ignore Referenced Researchers)? What about MASS (Must Avoid Secret Stuff)?
I did say I was giving up, didn't I?

How about MAD (Margins Are Dumb)? RAD (References Are Dumb)? PARENT (People Against Referenced Entries- Not Takinit). Alright, so I'm not that great at this stuff...
I like GIRR, myself... Who will be in charge of the movement's home page? I nominate TVF, because it was his idea...

Ha, I liked PARENT.
I kind of walked into this one, didn't I? Ok, I'll start GIRR, just give me a few hours and I'll make a page for it.....

What about people who /want/ to learn the secret?

Actually, I'm CERTAIN I'll be different, because I'm an adolescent white male who happens to like some obscure prime number, 47. Although I won't be different the way I want to be. (Oh, [some expletive I'd be sued if I were to actually type in].}
