So long, and thanks for all the worship!
Plastic Squirrel /Back, on the good foot, and doing the bad thing Posted Feb 21, 2002
And now I have to go do more research again, cos I've forgotten all the OT quotes I'll need to redo this damn thing.
So long, and thanks for all the worship!

nice try, my friend, but no cigar.
why do you assume that the bible is all correct? must take it into context...th OT was written by Jews who keep getting beaten up by big civilisations. the OT is basically a big revenge fantasy. doesnt even *remotely* disprove God tho

What, like a FanFiction about real life?

It's just a nice argument to chuck back at those who think that the Bible *is* all correct and truthful. Usually works as well...

Uncle Heavy [sic] Posted Mar 11, 2002
nothing can convince them. not even arguments that *are* logical
even when i have got them to admit 'we have free will' and 'we are determined by God' at the same time, they still cling like bloody minded limpets. sad really. i have no time for bible bashers

Plastic Squirrel /Back, on the good foot, and doing the bad thing Posted Mar 11, 2002
Yeah, but when blasted with logic they at least go off and sulk in a corner for a bit and refuse to argue anymore.

I'm not a mean person. Promise! How could you be mean when the Lord is with you. lol. You and the person you were talking to seem to be firm believers in.. not believing. I am happy that you have so much confidence. HOWEVER, I wish that you're selection of beliefs was more thought-out. I simply just do not understand you're reasoning for NOT believing in God. In your conversation you both stated that you were sort of forced to go to Church, when you were younger? This bewilders me. For once I came to the realization that it was easier to stop being the rebel that I am and to just simply accept that there is a God and He is there to help me, my life became filled with such joy and happiness that I don't think of ever turning back.

See it was opposite for me. I lost all that christian guilt stuff, and found I was much happier without it. Science has worked wonders for my personality, but whatever floats your boat man. I'm a lot nicer than I was when I wrote this entry now. Really, i've calmed down a whole lot.
