Having spent my last 30 summers at our local clothing optional beach on Canada's west coast, I can attest to the feeling of total freedom to strip off and plunge naked into our rather refreshing ocean.

Perhaps because these beaches have to be somewhat isolated, the people who go there develop a real sense of community. People play music together, make sure the children are safe and minded (no lifeguards) and truly care about each other and the quality of the beach experience. Being without clothing just seems to make people that much more open to each other.

One thing that i noticed when I spent some time on a clothing optional beach was how comfortable the parents felt about the kids running around.

I mean I would have thought it would attract dirty, sick men (or women but you don't here of female pedophiles) but you don't see any staring. The whole atmosphere is safe and friendly. I would happily take my kids there.
