Hi MM,

I think this is a good start, but I think you could say a bit more about the place - campus life, courses, the area, traditions, history etc. It's also worth trying to learn to use Guide ML, which is far easier than you'd think! (even I've got the hang of it!). It's also worth changing the title to Glamorgan University, UK, as there's probably other Glamorgans elsewhere in the world...

A good example of an previously edited guide entry is at A346367 on Keele University.

Keep working at this if you have time - it has the potential to be a really good guide entry. smiley - smiley

Zarquon's Singing Fish!

Have a look at today's front page as wellsmiley - winkeye.

I agree with Otto. It needs more information. There's also some stuff that needs tidying up, eg pontypridd needs a capital 'P'.

Don't forget to post back to this thread when you've made the amendments. Being in PR is a bit like driving a car - it won't go forward unless you've got your foot on the gas!smiley - winkeye

Is that in Australia/Wales/Scotland/Ireland???? Some people like my ignoramous self never heard of the great city of Pontypridd!?!

BTW, you might prefer to remove this thread from the Peer Review and do the writing calmly. When the entry is ready you can resubmit it for PR...

Think about this,

Some names linked to the Town of Ponty.
Tom Jones, Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics, Catatonia.

Ponty is about 20 minutes up the road from the city of Cardiff.

OK, I know who Tom Jones is, but forgive my ignorance, what/who are Manic Street Preachers? A Band?

And, were stereophonics invented developped in 'ponty'? Or is it another Bandname? Was catatonia discovered there? Or is it another Bandname?

I didn't get it?!?

Confused,

Come to think of it, I can't think of one Brazilian band!

Where are you in Brazil?

Post 14

Dr Hell

Well, I am not in Brazil, I am *from* Brazil. Currently I live in Munich, Germany.

Have you ever heard of Sepultura? I think it's one of the most well known Brazilian metal bands, but they sing in English... It is not common for Brazilian bands to become famous globally, normally, it's certain singers/songwriters that are well known. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that individual musicians are more serious than the bands, at least in Brazil...

Post 15

Dr Hell

Or maybe the it's the language, so you only have a chance globally either if you sing in english or (and) if your music is impressive... The quality of 'band' music is usually less impressive than music of individuals...

Well, well

It might also be worth mentioning, especially given the origins of this guide, that the University of Glamorgan runs a BSc (Hons) in Science and Science Fiction. It should also be available online in the near future. Check out www.glam.ac.uk/sciencefiction
