so where abouts are you from then? other end of the island? it's always nice to meet someone else from ireland.
so what colour's your lightsaber? mine's blue, but i only got it last week, so i need a bit more practice before our duel or i'd have no hope at all.

well it's good you don't have a red lightsaber. that'd imply you're sith and that wouldn't be good.
so is leinster nice this time of year? we got snow on christmas day!

Leinster is, as always, COLD! We also got snow on christmas day, which i find more than a bit poetic! Snow on christmas day [he says to himself musingly] it dosen't get much better than that!
How was the big X for you?
Personaly I find occasions where one is expected, required in fact to be cheerful, a very deppressing thing! You?

i think i know what you mean. like at new year there's all this build up to midnight and then nothing happens.
i'm not saying it isn't nice, coz it is. it's just that there's all this fuss and once you're old enough not to believe in santa it can kinda flop a bit. prob better if you have little people who you can pretend with.
think it all gets a bit caught up in trees and wrapping paper and chocolate etc, and people miss the point of it all.

It would appear I already have, but thanks for making it official. I like your choices in music, BTW. See my space for pseudorandom song quotes.

it's always good to meet someone who's not about to slag off my taste. happens sometimes and it's not nice.

moke_paranoidandroid Posted Feb 3, 2005
I wouldn't slag off anyone's taste. Well, not until I knew them a bit better, anyway.
BTW, did you actualy identify all the artists I quote? Cos if you did, that's better than me! I know mast of them, but some I just know the song & think 'that's a good song', but I haven't a clue who's singing!

to be honest i got about half of them. those i didn't get i'm just not sure if i know the song.
you had queen, simon and garfunkle, the beatles, beach boys, john lennon, oasis and louis armstrong.
dunno bout the rest.

moke_paranoidandroid Posted Feb 4, 2005
There's U2, Pink Floyd, Damien Rice, Keane, Franz Ferdinand & Blink 182.
The rest I don't know myself, after the ones you named. (I wouldn't have identified either the Beach Boys or Louis Armstrong, but when you said it I found them.)
