The Best Doctor

I got into Doctor Who recently, I've seen one of Eccleston's episodes, several of Tennants, but mostly I went and looked up the original series. I got to say, I like Hartnell alot. I'll have to wait till I see more before I make an official decision. Who else has an opinion? And why?

Generally people choose with their hearts saying it was the Doctor they grew up with; so it's usually a battle between the first four or maybe five at a stretch.

I love Tom Baker. Always have, from the womb!

Tom Baker's the one I grew up watching, so he's my favorite.

I also really like Hartnell and Eccleston a lot, too.

I've seen a few with Hartnell and liked him a lot. Got a bit of a soft spot for Mr Pertwee and my feelings for CE have been documented here before. *cough*smiley - blush

I grew up with Tom Baker too, but he's been replaced by David Tennant. I seemed to by-pass all between Peter Davidson and the modern doctors. Did I really miss anything?

Ecclestone was good, but Tennant has been awesome.

When I typed Hartnell, I actually meant Pertwee... had Hartnell on the brain from the earlier post. Duh.

What about the Five Doctors special? Who did the best there? It kinda got me that Hartnell wasn't in it, but he was dead at the time, so that kinda excuses him. The guy who played him did very well though. It annoyed the hell outa me that Tom Baker sort of thought that he was too good to act alongside his predecessors, but what they did to him was funny, though. He doesn't wanna be apart of it, well, we'll just trap the bugger in a time warp, and that'll take care of that.

Peter Davison and Jon Pertwee are my favourites. Not much fussed on Hartnel.

I haven't seen much of Mr. Pertwee, but what I have seen impresses me alot. His acting is great, his presence is amazing, but there is something I have noticed about Pertwee. I have seen a few clips and The Five Doctors, and I gotta say that Pertwee was out for da bootay. The infamous buttslap scene, anyone? In The Five Doctors I also noticed him copping a feel on his assistant. Nothing wrong with this, and many props for it. I mean, get it where ya can, right? It just seemed kinda funny to me.

OK, so call me a dork, but my faves were Pertwee, Baker and Tennant.

I hope Matt the Hoopla will be a good one, too -- but then I always hope that... smiley - winkeye

Have to say i'm torn about best Doc. Though I think I'd have to say David Tennant. Peter Davidson and Tom Baker are pretty darn good too.
