Just browsing this thread, has anyone mentioned the 'bad wolf' graffitied on the Tardis?

Yep. Not really difficult to miss!

Just to make it clear the "not really difficult to miss" line was sarcasm on a ccound of it being very difficuly to miss... I didn't think of this transparent excuse after the event at all and was intending to seem obtuse the whole time.

Have to say, I quite like the series, in itself, but to me, it's not the Doctor. The leather jacket, the practically skinhead haircut, the catchphrase "Fantastic!", the action man effect, the playing for laughs - not the Doctor I remember. I quite like the exploration of 'What happens to the companion's family'- that's not been done before, though we all know that we would have gone in a heartbeat because we understood that you could come back the second after you'd left and no one would know that you'd been gone. Not keen on the Doctor/Rose thing, though it was hinted at with the Colin Baker/Bonnie Langford period. Nice effects, nice underlying plotline, (Babylon 5 has a lot to answer for).I shall carry on watching it, (forgot to tape the dalek episode, that's how much grip it has on me!)

Melayahm: " has anyone mentioned the 'bad wolf' graffitied on the Tardis?"
Well, yeah, once or twice. It's one reference among many. The phrase "Bad Wolf" has been either spoken or written, or both, in every episode so far, with the possible exception of the first one. Nobody, at this stage, knows why for sure, but two interesting things:
1. The penultimate episode of the season is entitled "Bad Wolf", and it leads into the season finale "The Parting of the Ways".
2. The phrase "Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" must be significant in some way, we assume.

Missed it!
But missed it for a Good Hootoo Reason - I was having a Balti with Z and GreyDesk and Z's flatmate A.
But even so, we - shhh forgot!
GB - I have been actively wondering what "Hoo V. Ann" signified since the Blue Boy first used it as his moniker - so I am even slower than you.
Melayahm - which doctor do you remember? You imply that you remember only one, and I wonder if the more one can remember from one's formative years, the easier it is to accept new ones. Which does make CE's decision to leave marginally easier to accept. But my feeling is we need someone to do it for a good five years or so.
Hoo is ebing disingenious - he claims the phrase "Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" is significant. But there's a separate school of thought that suggests that the key question, which answers itself like a koan, is "Who's the Big Bad Wolf"....

There is NO good reason for missing Dr Who. Z, Greydesk and A need a good slap as well. Hurrumph - what do you people think you have that makes you think you can miss an episode of Dr Who, eh? Oh, yes...a social life.
In the song/story of the 3 little pigs, the Big Bad Wolf destroyed two houses but could not destroy the 3rd. How many 'houses' has the Dr destroyed in the Timewar? The Daleks for one. Has he destroyed 2 and tried a third which hasn't gone down or are we going to see him try and knock the third 'house' down and fail?

Good on yer, Ben,returned. I'd have joined you if I could, h2g2 mini-meets are brilliant, never had a bad one yet
Two houses out of three, I wonder if it's possible that the Doctor was responsible for the destruction of Galifrey, as well as the Daleks.
I still say the "Big bad wolf" is the Doctor.

computermasher, I hope that was a valid bit of local dialect because you won't make many friends around here if you're going to be racist. I'll let it go this time.
