To further put off the gut-churning agony of having to finish my honors project, I am wasting time on Hootoo.

I think on some kind of level, it's kind of like giving birth- no, it doesn't feel like passing a Ford, but emotionally. I've carried something around with me for a long time- actually, start to finish, it's been about nine months- and now it's time to make it complete. And it's very difficult to do that.

I am in the middle of writing my results section, and I'm trying to figure out how to put the stuff I've done over the past year in words- from the graphs, to the setbacks, to what we've learned about what's going to happen to the river. It's great to see the project finally take shape like a statue being freed from marble, but it's like carving granite with a toothpick.

One section to go. Let's hope I can give my advisor some light reading material on the plane to Germany. smiley - evilgrin

Total Pages, including appendix of tables: 38

Total Sections: 5 (out of possibly 7, one of which will just be a bulleted list anyway)

---

Dates blown off since writing commenced: 1

Workout sessions missed since writing commenced: I don't even want to think about that one right now...

Hope all goes well. Handing in such things can be just as agonising as writing them, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

When I got in this morning, I found a note in my mailbox saying that he had to leave at 3, so could I have everything I had done in to him by two? And of course, the printer wasn't working right, so there was that to deal with... I'm just lucky that my professor for my noon class got a face full of mildew over the weekend (don't ask- apparently, it was an incident with a tent he had accidentally put away wet), and had laryngitis today.

It's a diagram, actually, that shows at what velocities sediments will erode or be deposited. I think it was a Norwegian that came up with it.
