I just don't know what to do with myself
Tonsil Revenge (PG) Started conversation Oct 4, 2008
I hate my job.
The WR is going through some kind of seasonal thing and I am sliding into my usual seasonal depression.
I have fallen into a rut with my recordings on the Tascam DP-02.
I have cats running around the house that I can't catch.
I weigh too much.
I am working two jobs.
The UG has people who admire my work with the EPD.
They keep catching old entries of mine with the random search feature.
This is not hard as I've probably written a thousand entries of one sort or another.

Hi Tonsils, long time no see, just thinking of you. Wanted to suggest a collaboration, half humorous and altogether serious "Working Person's Guide to Surviving the Holiday Season. Many changes in my own circumstances since last I wrote. # 1 item, home again in soCal.

What a fascinating concept.
I'm not sure I survive the holiday season.
I drink a lot and listen to the Roches Christmas carol album over and over and over...

Does ITIWBS stand for "I Think I Will Be Sick"?

...a little on the hazards and horrors of of it from the working person's point of view and preparedness and remedies.
I'm currently prepping for a Halloween sale and juggling my time between that and about a dozen other things of greater and lesser urgency.
I think there may still be time to get it in before X-mas and New Years.

Hi Tonsil,
Still feeling low? I wonder if those lights you can get to beat SAD really work?
Maybe there's a way to find fun in your job. Is there anything you can keep a book with yourself on - like how many people do X or wear Y?
'Does ITIWBS stand for "I Think I Will Be Sick"?' We'll have to wait for an answer to that one.

My username, ITIWBS, taken in the spirit of Marvin, the dysthymic robot from the h2g2 movie, is an acronym for the first thought that came to my mind when I found that my first choice for a username had already been taken.

Zarquon's Singing Fish!, what should I call you for short? "Zarquon's?" "Fish!?" {I use "ITI" or by preference, just "ITI")
Is there some mythic or symbolic sense intended in the sobriquet (username)?
Tonsils,

Hi ITI,
I'm known as ZSF for short. What was your first choice of a username? I originally thought of Holy Zarquon's Singing Fish, but dropped the Holy as it seemed cooler without. I got the impression that the HZSF in the book was a kind of oracle and I quite liked that.
WR = Willendorf Rabbit. She's a good friend of Tonsil's.

ZSF, ...first choice of a username... ...that would be telling, and after its someone elses's username...
I did consider a couple of other possibilities, but decided to stick with the acronym.

OK, fair enough. I do like the acronym now I know what it is. I considered using Threnody as a username for something else, but decided it was too lacrymose.

"Threnody"?
Meanwhile, talking and singing fish motifs from the classical fairytales have alwyas been favoirtes of mines.
