Autumn has finally arrived with colder weather, dampness, a change in the light, and rain, lots of it.

The WR is on vacation and I have no one to talk to.

My DVD player is broke.

I am having trouble with a computer test at work and so are my manager and one of the assistant managers, both who are intelligent ladies and have more experience at the job than I can imagine.
The test is just stupidly designed, badly written and a joke all around. It is also timed.

I know the feeling well.

What's the deal with the computer test? WHy do you need to take it? What does it do for you (or the company)?

The WR got back day before yesterday but all I've gotten is one cryptic phone call.

The computer test was supposed to be over "modules" of material that I've already taken and passed on the store computer. The test was also supposed to be a prerequisite for the paper test I took at the beginning of this month (or last, I can never remember). I was supposed to get a 50 cent raise for passing the tests.

A 50% raise for passing the tests sounds like a good incentive to me. How far away were you from passing them?

Actually, its a 50 cent, as in pennies, raise.

I scored 73% the first time and 59% the second.

Anyway, the WR is mad at me again, doesn't talk to me and doesn't want to see me at the store when she is there.

It's hard to type. I've got a needy black cat named Spidder half in my lap and half on my left arm.
Its the cat the WR gave me a year ago.

I'm having trouble with the last test of a series of twenty.

Why is the WR cross with you?

What is it about the last test? Is there someone you can get to help with it.

Easy enough, he's back on my arm and lap and his tail is tapping at the keys as I type. I think he's cold.

Poor Spidder! Still, he's got you to cuddle up to!
