The perspective - or rather, lack thereof. Kind of like 'De Slaapkamer'.

It has lack of perspective because I'm still improving... But compared to AoE1 I've improved.

To really get a right perspective you have to draw yourself a horizon and a vanishing point. The horizon is at the high of the eyes of the one who watches the picture, so if you draw eg a small person, its eyes have to be under the horizon. The vanishing point is somewhere on the horizon.

I'm trying to make it look passable first. And I'm in a class. They'll teach me perspective.

My pictures are usually full of construction lines leading to all kinds of vanishing points. I have to get them all out when the picture is nearly done.

Get a scanner that doesn't scan blue and use blue graphite for sketching, and then go over it with black graphite or ink.

I ran across an article which explained that the odd perspective was caused by his moving the easel halfway through the painting, so that it has two different vanishing points. (On purpose, I think.)
