This morning when I left for work it was raining and 65F. At noon it was sunny and cooler. Tonight, the expected low is 40F. A cold front is moving through. Yesterday, it was 80F. Some days, the thermostat almost screams in frustration.
Stores already have Christmas items on the shelves, alongside the marked down Halloween candy and the Thanksgiving items. I mentioned to a co worker a few years ago how the holidays are not only completely unlike the Kodak commercials, some have been really dramatic. Their answer was 'have a couple of martinis, eat some dessert and watch the show'.
As children we would joke about it's not Christmas until the norelco and Coke commercials start playing. My sister's favorite Christmas commercial was anything with the Budweiser Clydesdale horses. She loved horses.
