A Conversation for The unofficial index for Greek Mythology

will you be focusing primarily on the mythic aspects (like in your Centaurs entry), or can some historical stuff leak in here and there?
It's just that I've been studying Egypt & Greece for the past couple of semesters, and there's a surprising amount of "culture-bleeding" between the two pantheons of gods.
Such things might be completely out of place here, I realise. Mythology and history are difficult things to mix. It's up to you, though, since it's your project.

hey, wow - this project is coming together well. Cool!
How interested would you be in discussing the relationship between the Egyptians and Greeks, and how they influenced eachother religiously? There's a LOT of interesting books on the subject (as well as quite a few boring attempts), and I think most of the bigger relationships could be boiled down to an easily-digested size.
Besides, I'm in need of a topic for my research paper in my art history class

Can I contrubute an entry with some stories? I was thinking of Pygmallion and Galatea, and some others...
