h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi guys and gals. I have successfully gotten moved into my new apartment. The move was STRESSFUL. Last minute packing early last week had me in tears. Then I took some medicine for my sore ankle, and it made me dizzy. So I had to move feeling dizzy as hell and in pain from my twisted ankle. But the movers were nice, and the move went pretty smoothly. Few kinks need to be sorted. The back toilet keeps running and running, so put a maintenance request in for that. And my stupid internet connection was down all through Christmas. I missed y'all.

THE GOOD NEWS. The new apartment is absolutely beautiful. And blissfully quiet. DSL is back up and running. I have my DVD player hooked up. Micio is adjusting well to the new place. I am tired at present, but think that it will be very nice living here.

Isn't it nice to start afresh?? I so envy you ... hope you have a great time in the new place!

Did you manage to celebrate a little over the last few days? Or is Christmas not your cup of tea?

PS: Still got lots of boxes to go through?

I did get to go to a family party on Christmas Eve, but mainly I've been unpacking and decorating.

Have you got more room/s? How about a garden? Better neighbourhood? Nice Neighbours? Do people still bring around cake, etc?

About the same amount of space, same number of rooms, but there are some really nice features to the new place. It's right next to a huge park where I can go walking later. There is a balcony. There is a garage -- Yay! And the complex is gated, so it is safer. Architecture and design is more attractive. I have not met the new neighbors yet. So far, no cake.

Decorating? As in "up a ladder with a paintbrush"?....hope not!

Aww, imagine what that balcony will look like in Spring, get bulb & seed buying ASAP! (Don't forget pot of catnip for Micio!)

Aw gee!Sorry the move ened up bveing the ordeal it was(dizziness & all-oh, how is that ankle now?), missed you too over the holidays. Butgood to know the place is great & that both you'n'Micio are settling in nicely.

I hope you have a chance to sit still for a while now.

I'm glad to hear the move went well! But sorry to hear the ankle still hurts so badly.

I agree with Ivan- have yourself a rest. Though it'd be hard for me to sit and not arrange things properly myself, so I don't blame you if you're decorating and stuff, too.

If you can't stand sitting still while you can see boxes that need unpacking and things that should be put away... Well, try turning the lights out. Problem solved.

Unless she hasn't unpacked the box with the lightbulbs in yet

Hey JEllen congrats on moving into your new place finally i do hope you are enjoying the new place and i hope your ancle is getting better.
Moving can have its ups and downs,i konw considering i have moved like 10 times in 8 years,but the best part is getting settled and decorating.

Hi y'all. I'm mostly resting the old ankle now. Not much happening. My brother invited me over for new year's eve, but I think I would rather bring in the new year here in my new home.
