Ellen Posted Nov 15, 2007
Hi Jab, how goes it? I've been out shopping this afternoon with my sister, and am ready for a nap.

Hi JEllen nice to hear from you. Hope all is well and that you didn't buy the shop (English expression). All is well with me, except I should be in bed It's just gone 2 am here, and I have to get up quite early tomorrow.
Nighty night

Hello JEllen!
Thanks for the link, we seem to have found it on the same day, but then I lost it, and I missed it as I thought I could scare my students a bit with heaps of incomprehensible vocabulary!
Take care

Hello JEllen and everyone! I enjoy this vocabulary site, thanks! So far I've donated over 1000 grains and manage to sporadically reach level 48 ... though I occasionally drop down to 47 or 46! I think it's not bad for someone not even a 'native' English speaker! Actually my knowledge of French and Latin has helped me quite a mite on 'Free Rice' ...

Damn you! You've got me hooked now (during a telecon with my boss. ). I've got as high as 48. The odd Scots word helps. Plus stuff from heraldry and armour that I vaguely remember from childhood.

Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Nov 20, 2007
It is strangely compelling, isn't it? I can usually mnage a couple of words at level 50 before I strike something completely bizarre and drop down to about 47 again.

But remember, I'm a professional word nerd. If I didn't get to 50 I'd have reason to take myself out and give myself a good talking-to, at the very least.

You'd have to be coruscating in your opprobrium, castigate yourself until you were penitent.
etc. etc.
