Hi
I just got my power back, we had a big storm tonight.
Nothing like yours.
Hey I recommended your dream journal to Diddy. He is a very interesting pleasant guy. He likes dreams, especially flying ones

Ah, excellent, I'll keep an eye out for him. I need to add some more dreams to my journal later this week.

Terrible Storm Strikes Memphis

Yes, they are even more relieved than me to have the power back on. We are gradual settling in to familiar routines again. But the storm and its aftermath really rattled my Mom. Now, whenever it starts raining, she wants to get in the closet. Can't say I blame her for still being scared. I'm not especially worried myself, because I think the odds of another storm that bad hitting Memphis in my lifetime are nil. I worry about other things, the global situation, nuclear weapons, etc. But I'm not letting my worries dampen my enjoyment of all the good things electricity has to offer! Hehe. Being back on hootoo is especially lovely, I have missed everyone. I guess you have heard of PCandy and Krispy's engagement? I'm thrilled for them. And Archangel Galaxy Babe just got engaged too. Cupid is busy these days.

Aww I hope your mom is able to lose some of her fear as time goes on
Yes! I had missed the good news about Krispy till yesterday!
I am embarrassed to say I confused AGB with a girl called ben.
Hmm I do not think I posted anything, I hope not!
I will have to congratulate Galaxy Babe

"f another storm that bad hitting Memphis in my lifetime are nil"
tell me tell you something about my town:
the city's museum is build on island. nothing wrong with that. altho the poeople living next to it hated it, but that is other story.
some of the windows are very low, but according weather and other experts the water would only rise that high once every 50 yrs. I think that was askingfor trouble, but they build some windows anyway. in the 2nd or 3rd yr after opening the water rise and rise. they have remove everything from the room with low windows. to make long story short since opening this happened I think at least 4 times. the local goverment does not want change outside of building so they have to empty the room ech time when water rises.
why this story "never say nil"

Hi Pheloxi,
Mmmm, I hope that doesn't mean Memphis is in for a lot of bad storms!
I read that Venice has the same problem, with flooding - they have to move things in the museums to keep them from getting wet.

Hi again Ellen! I really hope there wouldn't be another bad storm there. But you know I wouldn't mind having a nice thunderstorm or two over here in Pietersburg! We're having a rather bad drought right now, it's lasted about six months and there are still two more months before the rains start!

Ellen Posted Aug 10, 2003
Oh, hi Willem. Sorry you are having a drought. I hope you have some nice rainfall, something steady and drenching, not a terrible windstorm!

Six month drought! It's bad but spare a thought for the Aussie farmers, we've been in drought for almost ten years now!
Hey Ellen welocme back, good to see ya are OK! it's amazing how much we rely on modern conveniences isn't it.

The obvious footnote - we're *still* in drought here in Canberra...
Things really could be better organised, couldn't they?
Ivan.
