Maxfield Parrish Exhibit

Post 1

Ellen

Wowee, just got back from a stupendous Maxfield Parrish exhibit. It included prints and paintings, illustration work, photographs, and huge murals. All beautiful, beautiful work. He was a very romantic artist. I liked the murals best; the figures were almost life size, and the paintings took up the entire museum wall. Here is a look at one of them that contained about 64 figures. This is only half of the painting by the way!

That's fairly impressive JEllen. I imagine that would've been a really great exhibit! I'm glad you were able to catch that.

Edward the Bonobo - Gone.

I was thinking of you yesterday. In the newspaper there was a photo of Margaret Bourke-White, perched 1000 feet up on a gargoyle on the Chrysler building. That dame had cojones!

Hey JEllen! By the most amazing of coincidences, I am just now looking at this exact same painting, from a link I happened to find on someone else (?!)'s page on another site.

Edward the Bonobo - Gone.

I *think* I recall hearing that he was a relative of Matthew Parrish, ex-MP, now newspaper columnnist...and the man who outed Peter Mandelson on live TV. A wonderful moment from broadcast history! Especially since everyone new he was gay.
