I'm going to have to wave good bye to this account.
The GMC recently introduced new guidelines that means doctors can't use social media anonymously.
We can use social media, and not say we are doctors, or we can use social media, say we are doctors and give our full name and GMC number!
I don't really want this to be the first thing that comes up when people google my name, so I'm going to have to stop using this account. I will shortly get another account in which I do not mention that I am a doctor.

I think that's a really stupid rule
Why shouldn't you say you are doctors? I mean, when you try to heal someone via the Internet that's probably something different but not being allowed to say what's your profession is really strange. I mean I can say I'm an architect and so what? Will your house collapse because I say that? Will I get the flu because you say you are a doctor?

"Will I get the flu because you say you are a doctor?"
I believe the Government do genuinely believe the equivalent is true for teachers.

Difficult for you Z, but I am glad you will come back in some shape or form as you have given valuable advice in the past, and I wouldn't have thought you ever stepped beyond what is 'proper;.
Give us old timers a clue if you can which will inform us but not new researchers.
Take care,
Websailor

All he has to say is that he's married to a lady named Ben...
But whatever. Come back in whatever guise you choose. Just come back.

Perhaps you could pick a short snappy name this time.
Incipiently I've always pronounced it "Zed" is that correct or is it "Zee>" ?

How about "XZ" as in - formerly known as Z.
