Until the the results are published on the univeristy web site... I think I prefered going in and fighting my way to a notice board at least then there were people around to go and drown your sorrows with afterwards..

Not to worry! better luck next time Z, not that you'll need it next time, cos you will have learnt your lessons!!! But hey, at least it gives you an excuse to drown your sorrows, not that you really need an excuse. what happens now, on the academic front then? what does this mean for your course, i would assume (as i have already said in the other conversation) that you get another chance yes? or it gets swept under the rug as a thing you did wrong and 'buck up old chap'?
I have my interview with York on Monday, luckily not at all worried about that, I know that i'll do good and i think the very fact that i am not really bothered what happens either way, helps in the non-nervousness fact. still i am travelling over the weekend so it is a long trip, maybe a bit tiring (AND NO ACCESS TO PC!!! lol) mite see if i can pop into a net-cafe and get onto hoo-too from there, should be able to!
Well, don't despair too much, tis only one silly little thing and i am sure that the experience will tide you over to next time!

Lol I've done it myself.. Thanks for your help! I'm too embarrassed to I've decided to stop feeling annoyed with myself and Learn Something From the Experience. I've started by e mailing my tutor and I'm going to go to see the student support people on Monday to see what I can do about my panicking. It's also stopping my learning to ride a motorbike because I can't think logically what to do when I'm scared on a road! Thanks again
It actually means very little for my course, it's 5% of the year mark for medicine and surgery which is about 5% of the final degree mark for medince and surgery, which in turn is around 20% of the degree.
I'm more annoyed with myself because I've never failed anything before!
i think I get quiet confused!

Heeeeeeeeeey!
York is pretty cool! Am now in an internet cafe, as i hoped i woudl be when i got up here It is rainign quite atrociously but then i would get interviews in the winter! Tis just the way it is.
How are you then? Gotten over that dip in morale? Hopefully so what have you got planned for the coming times then? Family stuff for crimbo or is it study-study-study?
There are loads of pre-adolescent/adolescent people behind me playing network games, making quite a bit of noise... am i really that old to be begrudged by this?? lol, i spose they are alright! just having weekend fun i spose..
Anyhoo, hope you are well, hope i stay well, hope to hear from you soon!

! etc. that's great, I'm sure you'll do fine.. have they said when you'll hear the result? with birmingham it was within in next week but Glasgow took months for me (and then rejected me !)
Oh I'm fine the failure thing has put me into a bit of "work panic" so I'm having a kidney evening tonight.. We've got a week of lectures this week and I'm trying really hard to keep on top of writing them up and understanding the concepts..
I had a year out last year and it's amazing how much you forget!

quote for this occasion, though it's a bit late :
"It's only a mistake if it isn't fixed..." Anyhow failure doesn't do much to your grade, so it's not real failure. At least I keep telling myself that...
Congrats Ben!!! 'Tis fantabulous!
