My plans for the weekend involved taking in two matches at New Road cricket ground in Worcester.
Which has now flooded:

Derby rubgy club's grounds have flooded. They've shipped the mascot off to a zoo...
The mascot's a water buffalo.

I think Sheffield Wednesday have evacuated Hillsborough's offices as well.

Hillsborough's flooded out. As is most of Sheffield actually. Guess where I'm going tomorrow for my girlfriend's birthday?

The problem,a s far as I can establish, is that the rules of the tournament prevent the games being moved outside of the county, leaving Kidderminster, Ombersley and Barnt Green as the options- outr Cheif Exec is trying to persauade the ECB to let us move to Edgbaston or Bristol (although Eddgbaston is out of the question for the Bears game as it would ber an extra home game for them.
Also, the tickets are reserved seating, and the matches on Friday and Sunday, which I'm going to, are close to sold out- no other ground in Worcestershire could hold everyone. I hope common sense prevails, and the games are played at Edgbaston with all advance tickets valid, but if it's moved to Kiddy or one of the villages, they will have to work out a preference system as not all fans would fit in. And I'm rather anxious to find out if my tickets are valid, as we're booked into a Worcester city centre hotel for the weekend, and if I can't get in to see the games wherever they might be, I'll delay the trip til later in the season (the tickets can be re-used for any championship or Pro-40 game under the rain regulations, which would apply to tickets that can't be used due to ground size.

I'm not necesarily expecting common sense to prevail, merely hoping that it does.

The weekend game's will be at kidderminster.
My Mum phoned the club to check our existing tickets are valid, and will guarantee entry. They are and they will. But she was advised to bring folding chairs as they don't have enough seats.
