I'm pleased to announce results of experiment are favourable. 
Plus which, I got broadband installed today, and in an ironic mood, just downloaded 'Glad All Over' by the Dave Clark Five inside two and a half minutes - beating my previous 56k modem quickest download by well over two hours...

For your next experiment can I suggest taking a visit to http://www.download.com where you will find all manner of neat little software fixes, tweaks and bangs - all weighing in at 1 to 3Mb, or 30 seconds of your time - that will greatly enhance your surfing experience (and fill up your hard disk).
