my parents live on the Barnsley side, their village was underwater. Especially the new houses which were built alongside the stream.
when they bought their house waaaay back when, mum took one look at the stream and insisted that they have their house halfway up the hill at least.
The Gruesomes told me that Meadowhell was a complete mess and still mostly closed when they got there, I was only there for a few hours during late July so I didn't see anything.
The pictures I saw were really strange though. Especially the one of the fish. But all I could think of was: "wow! Fish! in the Don!" when I were a lass if you fell in the Don you'd have been a goner.
