And people call me a pessimist!

With lifespans increasing, 60 isn't considered old anymore. So I think being middle-aged at 60 is pretty accurate.

I went to the Apple store on Friday night, and spent the evening drooling over the current crop of cool new toys...and pricing the computer system I'll need for my business.

When I got online after, I started researching how to pay for it. I'm hoping to find a small business grant (so I won't have to pay it back!). Really, there are so many small, private sector, off-the-wall niche grants, I might just find one! About.com has a lot of info on that particular subject.

Funny, I don't know you very closely, but in my mind, you're a woman in her thirties.

Tonight I went to a BBQ for Labor Day, only to find out it was a surprise birthday party for ME! I'm so jazzed -- my very first surprise party, and I really was surprised!

Milestone birthdays need to be celebrated.

Much better than my 50th, spent it by myself, as all the usual suspects were out of town or sick...

See, things do get better as we age...mostly.

There are certainly things about being our age that I like. What I don't like are achey joints and getting tired so easily.

Not my joints that ache, my leg muscles. Had a bad leg day today, met my friend for lunch at her work, then had to put my feet up at her office afterwoards. TB she's the one in charge there...

I have arthritis in my right knee and left hip. I don't know which side to limp on.
