The best of health in four weeks?
Zarquon's Singing Fish! Posted Mar 24, 2004
It's half past three in the morning and I'm bolt awake ... again. Not sure why this time in the morning, but it happens a lot. Ayurvedic teaching says that this is a Vata time - overthinking, anxiety, that kind of stuff. I wouldn't care, this time, I went to bed at a reasonable time. I don't want to be burning the midnight oil - I want to be able to sleep reasonably well!

Just got my pack of goodies. Interesting to see what I am and am not allowed. Am not allowed potatoes, bread (to be expected), white wine, beer, lager, cider, fruit juice, muesli, rice, bananas, root vegetables (including carrots). Am allowed lots of meat (which I don't eat), eggs, fish, vegetables, fruit (but only green apples, not red), red wine (a little). It will be interesting to see how I get on. The diet appears to have a fair amount of sports celebrity endorsement.

Glad to see that full English breakfast is no problem
The British Army diet kicks off with that every morning followed by chicken and mushroom pie with sprouts at midday, and chicken curry with sprouts in the evening.
Every so often we get a nice slice of gammon with pineapple and sprouts.
After nearly six months of it I weigh less than when I was 13, tipping the scales at a sylph-like 12st 4lb.

Hi Seth!
I've been on the diet for just over a week, and not only have I lost weight, I've lost about an inch all over - slightly more from my hips . Still a bit more to go.
Yes, full English breakfast would be no problem, although I don't tend to eat meat - just fish. I'm starting my day with scrambled eggs (they're lovely cooked with tomatoes and served with smoked salmon). Quicker and easier to prepare and eat than cereals too!
Sylph-like, eh!
