I know this was a famous quote by a psychologist (and I confess to not being able to remember who it was) and can remember reading somewhere that the answer to this question was 'sleep'. Well recently, that's been my desire too! I've been really tired and unable to get a full night's rest.
I'd be just my luck not to be able to go to sleep tonight trying to remember who it was made the original quote!

Aha! Freud: The great question... which I have not been able to answer... is, "What does a woman want?
Fat lot he knew!

I find a combination of never having enough sleep, and lots of caffine helps..

Hello ZSF
When I have phases of disturbed sleep I change my routines a bit and it seems to work. One of the most successful is to go to bed 10 minutes earlier than usual with music I use for meditation wafting around the bedroom, really quietly. Works a treat
Oh, also: check the bedroom's at the right temperature. More sleep is broken because of too much heat/too little heat than for any other reason.
I hope you slept better last night...

TiT . The Dreamtime is something I'm interested in but know less about than I would like.
Z - I used to mainline on coffee, but I very rarely drink it now and never the instant stuff.
Fb - it might have been too hot last night, or not enough circulating air. I had a really bad night - woke at 12.35 am and didn't get properly back to sleep after that. I'll try the meditation music. I didn't have difficulty getting to sleep, though, just staying asleep!

I *did* get a decent night's rest last night - interrupted only by little 's crying after a nightmare. I blew away the bad dreams to a dreamcatcher and promised him lovely dreams about puppies and toys (and he wanted Lord of the Rings - but not the gruesome bits).
