DA ; Simply Vicky: Don't get pithy with me! Posted Dec 11, 2001
Hi, Ben - my authority (the first who made any sense to me about this) was Geddes McGregor, who was the first person who wrote about Christian reincarnation that I read. As he was a doom-and-gloom Presbyterian (my mother's family heritage) that made him more authoritative to me. Then there's Leslie D Weatherhead (Methodist) Kyriacos C Markides (Gk Orthodox) and Marilynn McDirmitt (American fundamentalist). As the first Christian church I joined (in 1973) was American-influenced fundamentalist that meant a lot to me, but like many Americans, she's comparatively uneducated, therefore she didn't 'get' things I already knew!) After fundamentalism, I became an Anglican, and that made sense to me, because it was much less gloom-and-doom and disaster-oriented than anything else, I was acquainted with.. Not on topic, I know, but it explains my history..

There's a hymn Jimmy and I made upaltogether now) 'Gloom, and doom, and Presbyterian'..Sung to the tune of Deutschland Uber Alles, which is also a hymn tune in the US of A... I do like Anglicans though, because most I've met have been good-natured people.

I think this is a really interesting topic for an entry! Do you see this 're-do' as happening sometime fairly soon, or would you like us to move this thread to the Writing Workshop until it's ready to come back to Peer Review?

Hi, Mikey - well, I would like you move it to the writing workshop, as it's stagnating, and I don't think the 're-do' will be fairly soon, despite my good intentions... Sorry! ...and thanks

There may yet be more to come... those who said it didn't amount to much, were correct. I have more to say, honest!

I would lay folding money that the answer is b*gg*r all. It's almost certainly a candidate for removal.
