Is it a cruise down the Mississippi, or along the Atlantic/Caribbean coasts?

I did actually look at river cruises, thinking they'd be less costly I didn't think about economies of scale... We are paying less for the 4 of us on a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas than one person would pay as their share of a 2 person stateroom on a river cruise from Nashville to St. Louis. Even counting in driving expenses and staying in a motel before and after (Nashville's about an hour and a half away).

Granted, the fact that on MSC, PaperKid counts as a child until she's 18, and children sail free if they share a stateroom with their parents, helps tremendously. That sounds like Cruise Control run amok.

The silly thing will likely be alternating between Covid and cruise planning... I'm hoping that, by December, things will be settled enough for cruising to happen.

Is your state making people stay in their homes, except for getting groceries and prescriptions?

Not quite yet, but it's coming. As of now, though, things are supposedly returning to normal after the end of this month.
