...because if I pay attention to it, then it is now the 13th, not the 12th (unless I follow Happy's example of not admitting it's tomorrow until I've gone to bed and gotten up--heck, I already copied him by having the same birthday...)
ANYway, yesterday was PaperKid's 11th birthday (though her party's not until Wimpy, due to scheduling conflicts, which PaperKid is
with, but Notepad does *not* get...) Since it was PaperKid's 11th birthday, that means I've been on h2g2 for 13 years! And *that* means, as of today, I've been Amy Pawloski (as opposed to Amy Hopper) for 17 years. Still have a few years to go before I've had this name for longer than my maiden name...
We've already decided what we're going to do to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We've been saving some for a trip to the UK, and we decided that having an actual goal date would help--one that means something to both of us. So I won't be coming when I'm 42, but 43 is pretty darn close!

Sadly, the clock does not ignore me even though I try [unsuccessfully] to ignore it. This finds me at the end of an evening trying to do the stuff I meant to do earlier so I would have *something* to show for having lived another day
.
Anyway, happy birthday, anniversary, trip-planning, etc. to all concerned.
