Well, I finally know where the leak is in the coop--I was in there yesterday while it was raining hard enough for the water to come in faster than mere untraceable seeping. And, of course, it wasn't coming in where I'd been assuming it was and spent hours fixing. The work wasn't a complete loss, though--I got to use a blowtorch
*Watches h2g2 persona roll up tight as a lollipop stick and whimper*
*Realizes that newer readers/acquaintences may not know that the h2g2 persona is a 5' 7" paper doll, made of 20lb cotton bond*
*Wonders if it's too late to fix the fourth wall

ANYway, the leak will be fairly easy to fix--I just need to get some of that expanding spray foam stuff and fill in some gaps. The gaps are way too big to just caulk, but plenty small enough for just one go 'round with the foam. Even better is the fact that I was given a gift card to Hope Depot today to use specifically for the coop. So I'll get a can of the foam with that,and everything but the wire (which is cheapest through Amazon, of all places
) for the run. And maybe, if there's any left, the lumber for the quarantine coop, once I draw up plans and have a materials list.
The chickens got to roam our yard for the first time today, and got themselves in the coop at dusk

A perfect typo. Anything to do with Do It Yourself would be purchased by me from a Hope Depot or one of the franchises the Hit It and Hope Depot

I thought 'Hope Depot' was one of the best conversions of a brand name I have seen in a long time.
I was all set to recommend it for Quote of the Day.
Then you spoilt it all by claiming it was a 'Typo'
Can I still call it 'Hope Depot' just for myself
