Don't have a garden at my apartment, but we have some planters on the balcony, mostly with various herbs (mostly ones that are somewhat sturdy, and can handle the weather here, like thyme, oregano, rosemary or sage). They do quite well! We also have a jasmine plant, which I'm really really happy with.
And I'm basically next door from the local community garden, so have been working there once a week, and occasionally getting some vegetables out of it.
I am *not* getting old!
