So, another attempt at a dramatis personae smiley - winkeye Might even be more coherent since it won't be starting from what I thought was going to be a discussion of potty trainingsmiley - laugh

Anyway, I tend to refer collectively to our household as the paper clan on h2g2. I've been the paper lady here on h2g2 for most of my h2g2 existence, and my husband is the only one of us that doesn't have a paper-related h2g2 nickname. (An explanation of the paper lady thing can be found on my PS. I figure everyone from h2g2 can get there with no directions, but for those that I hope are following my links from elsewhere, just click on the big long name--the one with aka 'paper lady' and the bit with mufflewhump in itsmiley - ok) I work as an instructional assistant in a special education class for kids ages 6-11. I probably won't post much about it this month, though, because of confidentiality--it's rather hard to vent about more than one person when you don't allow yourself to mention names, initials, age, or sex!

My husband is Tom. If you ever see me refer to Thomas, that's his dad. They have different middle names, so they're not Senior and Junior. I can't just do first-name-middle-intial, because those *are* the same.

PaperKid (U211555) has had an account on h2g2 since 7 months to the day before she was bornsmiley - laugh She won't have control over it until she's 16, unless h2g2 lowers the age restriction we inherited from the BBC (which came in only a few years ago). Faith (which is much easier to type) is a wonderful big sister to...

Notepad (Gracie) who does *not* have her own h2g2 account. When I set up her big sisters', it was mostly to keep all the pregnancy updates somewhere so that those that would be bored with them ould ignore them. Writing months' of journals from the point of view of someone not born yet (and then occasional ones from someone preverbal) fried my brain, so I decided to not do it again. Both girls *did* have write-ups on their respective births in smiley - thepost--A1119098 is Faith's, and A50479536 is Gracie's.

Penny is our boxer smiley - dog We've had her a year in August, and she was 14 months old when we got her. Her previous family had to move in with folks that have dog allergies. She was a little on the thin side when we got her--probably partly because of the food she was on. As is common with boxers, she's sensitive to corn. Since we switched her to grain-free food, her eyes aren't goopy and her coat's nice and shiny--if it were long enough, it'd be soft, too. She's a bit skittish around new adults, though the mail lady said earlier today that her boxer is, too, so maybe that's normal. She's a bit of a smiley - clown, and she's adored by the girls. Tom and I like her a bit, toosmiley - winkeye

I'm fond of 'em.

Figured things would be less confusing for new readers if I at least named everyone once (Patty's my mother-in-law, btw) and less tedious for those that have known me for yonks if I don't have to stop and tell who folks are when I mention them. That's sort of how my lost post started--I started talking about potty training, and then realized that not everyone reading knows who Notepad is! I may or may not return to that topi--depends on how badly a blank journal is staring at me some nightsmiley - silly

Just noticed that Faith's entry didn't link (probably because of punctuation) so here it is again-- A1119098
