If anyone's gotten any email from me lately, delete it! I've just gotten a message that email I'd sent today was undeliverable. I've not emailed anyone for at least a couple of weekssmiley - erm So I'm guessing I've been infested... I've not opened anything unfamiliar, though, so I'm confused (plus I ran a virus check last night and it came up clean...)

Avenging Washcloth, An unhurried sense of time is, in itself, a form of wealth.

Change the passcode to your email account after you've scanned for spyware and virus infestations .... spammers hijacked one of our email accounts at wo*k, but fortunately, that solved the problem. smiley - ok

You can download an Anti-spyware beta version for free at Microsoft. I've been using it for a few months and I rather like it! smiley - biggrin

Evil Roy: Maestro of the Thingite Orchestra, Knight Errant of the Thingite Cause, Prince of Balwyniti, Aussie Researchers A59204

After a clean virus check it is probably more likely that spammers have simply harvested your email address from somewhere on the internet and are using it as the "reply to" address for all the rubbish they send out. It happened to my evil.roy account earlier this week and yesterday I confirmed with my internet provider that absolutely no emails had been sent from that account in the past 2 weeks (it helps that I was in China for most of that time).

So, if a spyware check comes up clean and the virus check remains clean there is very little which you can actually do - they have your email address and they're not afraid to use it. smiley - evilgrin

Amy, I've run into this off and on over the years. These spammers are sick, sick, sick.

I had while back e-mail bomb in my inbox. every post I deleted a new arived. the e-mail address they used was from a artist who doed in 1920s. I was sure that was fake. I e-mailed dotcom company, I never heard anything from them. at the end I recieved over 200 e-mails and some had virus included.

I still get e-mail from website I was had.it is automatical forwarded to one of other e-mails. I get about 500 spam a week like that. I tried to e-mail owners of dotcom again I never something. may be I should forward them to the owner. smiley - evilgrin.

one advice never react on one! not even if they look good.
