Faith starts preschool on the 4th.

It is hard to see them grow up.... before you know it she will be a teenager .
Take lots of photos so you can remember how sweet she was when she gets rebellious..it helps!

It seems like yesterday when you were expecting her¬. O am sure that she is going to be a very happy at preschool. Does she chat a lot - and share things with the two of you?

What exactly is 'preschool'? Here in South Africa in my childhood we had 'toddler school' (like Kindergarten) mainly for children from 3 to 5 years old and after that you went to 'real' school. At the moment 'real' schools usually include a 'Grade 0' that is for kids who will be entering 'Grade 1' (which is the actual start of school) the next year.

Amy, she'll be fine, my love. Most children are ready at that age (even of you're not) She'll make loads of friends and have them over during the holidays...

I know what you mean, though. It's almost as if their childhood has ended However, another stage is about to begin - you'll enjoy the time with each other better as well.

Thanks everyone I'm not feeling *bad*--just bittersweet. A little more of the 'bitter' than after the last huge milestone (potty training) was completed, though

Willem, sounds like toddler school is about the same as preschool

Faith is very excited about getting to go--and I'm sure part of the excitement is that she's going to be going to preschool at 'Mommy's school' (Can't get much more convenient than that, especially since she's in the morning session, so will be attending at the exact same time I'm working!)

If it's any consolation, Amy, I am a Dinner Lady at my local school and work in the After School Club. The children are our main focus (sod everybuggar else).

Faith will love it. You know she will. I know how hard it is 'letting go' s to you and her
