Last Dontbry, I ended up staying home instead of going to church with Tom and Faith. I basically got up, felt nauseated, got Faith ready to go, and went back to bed. I woke up at 2pm, when Tom called I was feeling much better, so Tom came home and got me, and we went somewhere. I can't remember if we went to the river, or if it was Wimpy that we went Oh, wait, Dontbry was when we went on a picnic and then went to the beach. Anyway, I was pretty wiped out by the time I'd been up for 5 hours. Not exactly normal. I've not felt up to snuff all week--though that could be staying-up-too-late-and-Faith-waking-the-same-time-each-day catching up with me.. And let's just say that my digestive system has been emptying itself very efficiently this week This afternoon, my lower gut has felt knotted, and I'm dizzy. I don't like feeling dizzy, unless I know why I am (fair rides, and such). My blood sugar's not low--I've been eating to see if that's the problem. I'm not dehydrated--I'm practically sloshing with water. If I were just tired, I'd understand it--spin class was quite hard today. (Of course, you could argue that saying that spin class was hard is stating the bleedin' obvious)
I can't be sick--tomorrow's the Salmon Festival down in Klamath, and we've got a table to run, even if the one thing we really needed got shipped too late and we won't have it (ordered it on the 2nd, along with the other things which arrived on the 16th--the less important thing got shipped out on the 9th, and the more important thing finally got shipped on the 16th--2 weeks after ordering) Plus I want some traditionally cooked salmon (the Salmon Festival is on the Yurok reservation, ran by the tribe, so traditionally cooked means skewered on redwood and cooked over an alder fire)

Maybe... But it's late enough now that if I nap, I might as well go to bed.
But I need to shower, and I'm waiting for Tom to come home with the other laptop so I can print up stuff for tomorrow.

Is there any sort of odd flu bug going around your area, perhaps, Amy?

It does sound as if you've 'picked something up', Amy. Have you been checked out by the Doc? If not, I think that might be the way to go, they always know what illnesses are doing the rounds.
Hope you feel more like yourself soon

And if you can't feel like yourself, perhaps more like Billy Gates? With all the tonnes of money that go with it. Hey, if ya have to be someone, it might as well be someone that afford some serious flair and pinache.

I'm feeling much better today, though I'm rather tired--I've gotten used to more sleep than I was able to get last night, what with getting ready for the Salmon Festival today, and needing to get up early (OK, so Nick wouldn't consider it early--6:30) Bit disappointed--the salmon was more than we could afford, and the face painting wasn't free, like it was last year (granted, 'twasn't me that was so upset about that part) They did have a bounce house and a big slide that were free, though, so Faith had a chance for some fun between stints at our booth.
It doesn't feel like a real illness, though. and I certainly don't feel bad enough to go to the doctor, which is just as well, since we aren't on MediCal anymore (too much money in savings, since we decided to be smart and put our tax return in a CD for the summer, since I don't work during the summer...)

You mentioned you had been fairly "sloshing with water". That might have been the problem. Too much water all at once can make you sick. Seems a stretch, but who knows.
Anyway, glad you are feeling better.

Could be Though when I later tallied up how much water I'd had during the day, it was alarmingly low (especially since I'd gotten rather sweaty at the gym). I had drunk most of what I had during the day at when I'd posted, though.

Maybe someday water will be branded as a poison because people who drink too much of it can die. Then you'll need a doctor's prescription to obtain water.

Is there any possibility that you're pregnant?

There *was*, but almost 2 weeks ago now (a couple journal entries before this one--F74902?thread=4471611) I either had a very strange period, or a relatively easy miscarriage before I got around to testing myself, so there's no way to know which it was

Thanks
Like I've said elsewhere, since I don't even know if I was pregnant to begin with, I'm doing fine.
