Just caught myself telling Faith that
There's a photography studio that does in-home baby and child portraits (up to age 5), and they offer new parents one free session and a 5X7, most likely in hopes that you'll buy more than that and use them in future, but there's no obligation. (Darn it, I meant to send the checkbook and my wallet off with Tom this morning) Got a call yesterday, and the photographer's coming this afternoon The house is mostly picked up--just need to run the vaccuum and throw in a load of baby laundry.
Faith should be smiling good later though, as he's due to come after her nap and lunch

A good child/baby photographer will *know* how to make them give you the most charming smile - there has been a photographer offering to take photos in the local shopping mall lately, and whenever I've happened to be passing by during a 'shoot' I've been pretty impressed by how many tricks she knew on how to make the baby/child give you a at the right moment!
*already looking forward to seeing the photos*

Well, Faith *did* use up all her smiles this morning (mostly because she never did fall asleep when I put her down for her nap) But by golly, the guy sure tried! But, assuming it comes out well and that's the one we pick (for we only get to have one free, and can't really afford not-free) there's one pose with me holding her and kissing her head. No sales pressure today--that'll likely come when the guy (different guy) comes in a week or so to show us the poses and take our order.

It might be refreshing to see a picture of a baby who's *not* smiling. It would at least be distinctive, wouldn't it?
