h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Y'see, Faith started a growth spurt late last week, and instead of going back to normal after a couple of days, neither of us slept through the night for almost a week. I was getting 5 hours if I was lucky, with no naps, because Faith wasn't napping either, and was too fussy for me to just put her down anyway and curl up on the couch. Now, before she started sleeping through the night, I was used to little sleep, but my body's gotten adjusted to getting rest... So I was extremely tired, and when I get extremely tired, I get and And you lucky folks got to deal with it

I finally figured that maybe my milk supply wasn't increasing enough, so I finally broke out the Mother's Milk tea, which I'd put off trying, as the tea bags smell of licorice and you have to drink at least 3 cups a day. Brewed, it's pretty good--minty, with a faint aftertaste of anise. Anyway, the tea worked--breastfeeding's not been this messy since we learned how to do it And since she's not hungry, Faith's back to normal sleeping, which means I feel much better!

Oh, and Paul, I've thought about it, and I don't think the tea would do all that much if you drank it, especially if you just had one cup to taste it. You have to drink at least 3 cups a day, and it takes a day or so to kick in (at least for me) and I'm *already* lactating...
