Tom's going to a men's conference this weekend. In fact, he's leaving at noon *checks time* today... He won't be back until Dontbry afternoon. I miss him already, and he's only asleep in the next room! Don't know why it's such a big deal this year--I survived last year fine (In fact, that's how I knew exactly when my last period before I got pregnant was--it started the day he was due back, which really annoyed me, as I was planning... Well, never mind)

I was going to go to the home of one of the moms in my new moms' group (the normal facilities aren't available the 2nd Poets of every month), which means I likely would be around people who can speak until late afternoon, but her son's been really sick this week, so she cancelled so that the other babies wouldn't get what he's got. Which I appreciate but meh.

Anyway, any chance of at least one person calling this weekend? Please? Let's arrange a time, as the last time I told someone to call anytime after a certain time, I was diving on the phone every time it rang, and was a nervous wreck by the time the person I was expecting called, because we got lots of telemarketer calls that day Got a lot of the packing done for the trip, though, as I was staying offline to keep the phoneline free...

If you'd like to call but don't have my phone number, go ahead and email me to ask--the worst I'll say is that I don't know you well enough yet

Kam, I'd love to call you, but unless your email went into my bulk folder, which I emptied before I got here, I only have the phone number at the home, not your mom's, and IIRC, you haven't internet access except at your mom's... I admit I didn't check the bulk folder before I dumped it, but there were 123 messages in it!

Of course, since Faith appears to have inherited her mother's sense of timing, I may well be needing to change her during one of the calls--I can feed her one handed, but that doesn't work too well with the diaper

Is being alone really so bad, Amy?

Yesterday afternoon, I went to a large bookstore to buy
books for the library, and I was nearly colliding with
other people all afternoon. I just wanted to get
away from them!

Same thing this afternoon as well: I stopped several places
to shop, and was dodging people and walking long distances
to get from my car to the stores.

I'm blissfully alone right now, and maybe my nerves will
get unjangled by bedtime.

I prefer being alone too, but the only days I really get to spend much time with Tom are Sodit, Poets and Doobry, and he left at noon on Poets, and I don't know when he'll be home tomorrow, but it won't be until afternoon... And while I love Faith very much, she's not much of a conversationalist

I'm about to go to bed (it's 11:00 p.m.
here in Boston), so I'm not going to be
able to converse with you now, Amy. Sorry.

I'm afraid I can't help but a bit at your
description of staying by the phone to receive
an expected call from somebody, only to get
telemarketers. I shouldn't laugh at your misfortune
(I've been there too, so I *know* what that's like),
but it *does* seem kind of funny.

It *was* funny--we'll go days without the phone ringing, but when I was expecting a call, it rang about 6 times...

And I don't have your number anyway (and of course you're in bed by now, as it's midnight there...) Your address, yes, but not your number... And I don't remember if you have mine...

Boring me with baby stuff won't be so easy...
