Amy Pawloski, aka 'paper lady'--'Mufflewhump'?!? click here to find out... (ACE)

I've been wondering why I was so very down on Sodit (especially since I was perfectly fine on Wimpy and yesterday and so far today) And, actually, a possible explanation popped into my head on Sodit...

I'll lead up to itsmiley - winkeye

I realized that it hasn't been 'that time of the month' yet. Now, I don't normally get PMS, but there's always a first time, I suppose... After thinking a bit more, I realized that I may be a little late (my cycle isn't rock-steady, but still...) And yesterday morning and this morning, I was a bit nauseated (still am this morning)

Do you think.... smiley - bigeyes

But we only just started not using birth control!

Like I told Tom, if my period hasn't started by the end of next week, methinks a test is in order...

Hmm... I wonder...

What did Tom say when you told him?

Everyone always assumes it will take months and months to get pregnant - but it can happen incredibly quickly.

(Oh, and BTW, everyone, it's his birthday today... Who wants to *really* surprise him?smiley - winkeye Granted, with timezones, those in the UK can't really talk to him on the phone (except Happy, depending on his work schedule) but we *do* have an answering machine... Of course, if you're someone that doesn't already have our phone number, disregard...)

Should people call and say "happy birthday, Dad"?

Well, I can't say exactly, as it was rather personal (he'd flip if I put the exact wording on heresmiley - laugh) but it was along the lines of 'What? Already?? But....!'

I think he's been assuming that it would take awhilesmiley - winkeye

No, because it's only a possibility (I'm not *that* late, which is why I'm going to wait another week before I get a test--it's too early to get a good result, I think)

the tests they make now are very sensitive - and the ones you get from the drug stores are the same chemical things they use in the dr's office - I think the packages will tell you how many days you should wait to test the first time. But if you're nauseated and not otherwise sick....

smiley - whistle

But the call itself is what I was hinting about, yessmiley - winkeye Just don't use the 'Dad' word yet...

*will likely buy the test later in the week (if her period doesn't start by then) so she can make lots of overseas calls on the weekend, if...*

Don't everyone goet too excited, yet... With my luck and timing, I'll likely start just in time to be in pain while cooking Thanksgiving dinnersmiley - tongueout

Ineffable, <Boing>-King!!!

Hey Amy Paka.. Congrats, Congrats Tommy... If it is Positive (or Negative, whichever one means you're pregnant), that means you're bringing a new soul into the world... (yes, may sound cheesy, but I relly think this) be gentle, and feed it's curiosities, showing it to enjoy every little discovery you'll have the chance to make together (yes, including the taking a dump phase)...

If you guys need any tips, you let me know... I ain't a Dad, but I'm a hell of a Big Brother... Inside 2 nights, I made my little brother not only understand Math, but actually like it...

I had to use a few metaphores like : So let's say your on the right offensive wing and the Center is there waiting for a pass, but you can't handle the puck right, what's the point?

So Math is kind of the basics...and so on, and so forth...

Okay, enough babbling form the parent-wannabe here, but Congrats from the bottom and top of my heart...

Well, maybe I should look at a package or 2 when I go to get Tom's card today... If nothing else, it'll likely confirm my suspicion of how the ones that advertize that you don't need a cup work...

And with me, mysterious nausea doesn't necessarily mean anything--happens all the time.

Now you guys are getting me all excited...
