Hi Danny B.,
if you haven't found a Subbie for your Monty Python poject as yet, I'd be delighted to do the subbing. Great work so far!

Excellent!
I'll drop a note to let the PTBs know that you've volunteered, and add you to the project page. I'm hoping it won't be too much longer - I've finished my bits and I'm just waiting for a couple of volunteers to finish (or start ) theirs...

It's finished I'll drop a note in the project thread asking Anna to move the articles over.

Agghhh! I've just noticed a glaring error in the 'A Brief History' article (A687945)
In the 'Flying Circus' section, the second paragraph should begin:
'Just before the second series...'
I can't believe I've missed this!

Hi Danny,
don't worry, it's fixed now.
I've looked through the first six entries by now, and the articles are really fabulous. Great work! Nearly nothing to do for a Subbie...

Hi Danny, Ormondroyd,
the Monty Python project is now subbed; I've done my worst to totally mutilate every single article.
I would like you to have a final read of the entries before I send them back to the towers. As we have a long weekend here in Germany, I think that would be not before Tuesday, so take your time...
Ace project, great work.

Right... first thing - and it's entirely my fault
The 'Flying Circus' (A692192) entry needs to be reworked slightly to put 'And Now For Something...' in the right place. I'd suggest changing the opening of the 'Second Series' section to:
After a brief foray into feature films with And Now For Something Completely Different, the team returned to television with what many believe is the best of the four Python series. Epsiode one contains...
And then change the opening of the 'Third Series' section to:
For the third series of the Flying Circus, Terry Gilliam revamped...
Hope that's OK..!

Danny B Posted May 17, 2002
...also in the 'Flying Circus' article, the third sentence of the 'Die Fliegender Zirkus' section should start:
This meant that the team...

Right - final comments
Holy Grail (A702262) - 'First Draft' section
'hoofbeat' shoud be 'hoofbeats'
Life of Brian (A691067) - First paragraph
should read '...questioned as to what that film might be...'
Life of Brian (A691067) - 'Hurt my foot...' section
should read 'The targets of the film are...'
...and that's it! Many, many thanks for subbing all those entries - much appreciated!

Hi Danny,
no problem, the entries are now updated. Anything else before I send it back?
BTW, my spellchecker didn't know 'hoofbeats', therefore I thought that there's no plural form of 'hoofbeat'. Changed it back, though. A difficult language English is...

Send 'em back Can't wait to see it on the front page... and be bombarded with postings from Python fans telling me what I've got wrong or missed completely
And the plural 'hoofbeats' definitely is.
Thanks again for the subbing

Hi SchrEck
Do you still have editing rights on the Python project. Just spotted this in the John Cleese entry (A736382)
"The film tells the story of a bank robbery, played by Kevin Kline, whose girlfriend (Jamie Lee-Curtis) tries to seduce the whereabouts of the stolen goods out of barrister Archie (Cleese)."
I think it should probably be 'bank robber, played by Kevin Kline', but I have a strange feeling that something has gone missing

Hi Danny,
the whole para has been altered by the in-house editors, and thus it's now a bit confusing. I still have editing rights on the project, but I tend to not doing it myself. Instead, I'll alert Anna about this and let it done inhouse.
