Question

I know I've said I'm not going to write for the guide anymore but this is because there is a lack of this subject and I want to redress it

Anyway I digress I want to write about cyclists and I want to include Eddy Merckx but he already has an EGE is it possible to write another piece about him?

Obviously this doesn't count, but I believe he's referenced in the Famous Belgians entry. Thought you might be interested.

Sorry, I've just realised that's an incredibly random post. The intention was to show that your question isn't being ignored. smiley - smiley

S'ok David, I've entered it as an entry anyway, it's not so much about Eddy Merckx the man more about the year he won all three Jersey's in the Tour de France

Here's the official project page if you want to have a look A13288566

Yep, that looks sufficiently different to be, smiley - erm, different. and therefore good for the EG.

Thanks, of course the Floyd Landis one might change to Perero or Kloden or Sastre or even Evans depending if anything happens tomorrow, look I've got no nails left after this Tour

Just realised that I totally misunderstood your question anyway. My fault entirely. I believe that it's ok to write a small section, perhaps a succint summary of the info in the EG entry. If your infor is different that would be better. Or you could just link to the entry, but since you say you'd like to write something yourself that wouldn't really be an option.

Sounds like a good project, by the way. smiley - smiley

What I'm doing is to write a brief summery of Merckx' life and the majority would be the 1969 Tour de France when he won the yellow, green and KotM jersey's he's the only man ever to do it
