well written, and lots of usefull details. how about adding something about all rule-based systems getting it wrong sometimes.
also are there any similar projects in other parts of the world.
you might also want to mention the recent set of cases in britain where bad fingerprint id's resulted in persecution by the police and the crown prosecution service.
perhaps you might want to mention something about the way that someone who is guilty and owns up gets treated much better than someone who has maintained their innocense all through their case and incarceration?

Della, I think this article is a good start but needs a bit more work. The best way to flesh it out is to make up a few headings:
What is the innocence project?
What's wrong with the system at present?
- Juries ignoring evidence
- Lack of modern methods
-Misidentification
Has the Innocence Project been successful?
Then write a reasonable amount in each of these sections. For example, in the first section, write who set up the Innocence project and what it hopes to achieve. You never actually state the purpose.

Della, I've just sent an e-mail to your hotmail address with a link to the Death Penalty Information Center* website. There are some fascinating stories and statistics on there about people in the US who've been convicted of murder and then released from prison after being found to be innocent. Good luck with this Entry!
