A novel idea, Loup, and nicely written.

The recycled stale smoke one made me screw my face up in distaste, but other than that why not? You could take the idea further and make entire coats with a double lining to be filled with water - you could heat them in winter and refrigerate them in summer - there's a fortune to be made! smiley - winkeye

Yep, smoking recycled stale smoke does go a step further than smoking dog ends or even dog ends' dog ends, doesn't it?!...smiley - winkeye

>You could take the idea further and make entire coats with a double lining to be filled with water<

Do I see an idea for a potential collaborative "How to..." entry there?!...smiley - bubbly

[smiley - yikes Now you got me started...smiley - cool
I've got the title ready and know what theme to use for that entry...smiley - disco
Expect a call from me as soon as it's in a presentable form...smiley - winkeye]

This seems factual, or am I missing something? Why not brave peer review with it?

If we're going to go out in hot weather we freeze a plastic bottle of squash to take with us. smiley - smiley

Nope, it's not _really_ factual...smiley - winkeye
[Apart, of course, the content of the links I've provided...smiley - biggrin]
It only looks like a factual entry...smiley - smiley

And I'm definitely not brave enough to submit an entry "advising" on vampires slaying to the Peer Review...smiley - yikes

I definitely take posting #6 as a compliment by the way...smiley - cheers

I'm thinking of adding a discreet disclaimer regarding the content of the second paragraph...
It would have to be right at the end, so that the cat is not out of the bag too soon, obviously...smiley - winkeye

At the same time, it has to be stressed that the info provided in the links are serious [especially the danger/risks of hot weather and smoking] though...

Any hint on how to word that one?!...smiley - smiley

Doh!!!! I meant the content after the part titled "The problem"...smiley - wahsmiley - wahsmiley - wah _Not_ the second paragraph...

Because I'm working on the next entry, I've already forgotten what I wrote in this one...smiley - yikes

Anyway, the idea is still the same: a discret disclaimer etc..smiley - biggrin

smiley - laugh well it's perfectly plausible till you get to 'alternative uses' and the serious tone is well sustained. No, I suppose they wouldn't look too favourably on it in PR, but I think it's perfectly 'factual' - factual doesn't have to be the same as sensible!

Oh, except for the bit about smoke, stale smoke is so very not nice. Eurgh.

I think it works as it is. If people want to try it out they probably couldn't hurt themselves too much.

Plus I made a point of warning those who want to try smoking stale smoke with a footnote _and_ a link on tobbaco smoke...smiley - biggrin

So that's one disclaimer _already_...smiley - winkeye

I see what you mean by "factual" now...smiley - biggrin

Yep, I did try to keep a serious tone to the end... It was not always easy though...smiley - devil

The advice regarding not putting the necklace in the freezer _while_ wearing it made it a bit difficult to carry on that way...
But then again, people do stupid things at times, so it was as good an advice as any...smiley - disco

Anyway, I'm glad to see that my make-believe skills are not too rusty after all...smiley - bubbly

smiley - cheers for the feedback...smiley - ta

Oh that warning is not too far fetched. Warning on a korean knife: keep out of children.

Honestly.

"How to use this electrical toaster:
smiley - space 1) Plug it in... 2) Put the slices of bread in the toaster..." smiley - wahsmiley - wahsmiley - wah

I seem to remember something on Hootoo where these kind of advices were collected [not sure if that space is still active unfortunately]...

Some of the advices [like the one for the knife] are there as a way for the manufacturers of covering their backs just in case... But it does makes one wonder...smiley - biggrin

I think the one on the knife was probably more likely to be 'keep out of reach of childred' but something got lost in the translation process somewhere.

It's curious how the mind can play tricks on us at times... I actually based my comment on the assumption that the warning was: "keep out of reach from children" even so there was a bit missing...

Anyway, Cyzaki...smiley - smiley what do you think of the entry?!...smiley - biggrin
