okay... did some more thinking and musing...
the movie "what dreams may come" isn't, as i thought, so much about suicide... it's about the 'doing anything' for someone... you love em so much...
Chris, the husband, talking about divorce when she is in the asylum after the death of their children: "That's when I realized I'm part of the problem. Not because I remind you. But because I couldn't join you. So I left you alone. Don't give up, okay? "
...But because i couldn't join you...
the movie "days of wine and roses" ...i could never go where she went...
so i understand what Chris is talking about...
in the end, tho, he was willing to join her... and all that... and the way it all turns out... is what makes this movie and it's message so beautiful!

IF i did marry him... aaaaand i DID take his last name...
my initials would be a well-known name brand associated with cute little bugs...

anyway... the marriage ceremony all it really is is an announcement to the world of the commitment...
already realised by the couple...
to each other...
and i guess 'going public' serves various purposes too such as sending the messages of "hands off, this one's mine"
and/or "i'm so sure of this i'm willing to go out on a limb and tell everyone it's a done deal."

>>> So I see you have thought about it <<<
well sure! what girl (or boy?) doesn't write the name of the beloved over and over and ...over and play games with initials... and try on the 'mrs' in front of their name? its all just fun adolescent silliness
however its no big deal and only a passing fancy...

ahhhh the giving away of thingie... hmmm now where does that come from?
interesting
i have been out here in the world for a very long time since my girlhood so i dont really need to be 'taken care of' but then again on another level i actually do we all do...
but to acquiesce to your request, bobby, would mean i was entertaining not only the idea of marriage but even considering a formal one...
...which i am not... commitment is a possible maybe but not marriage
...i dont think
i think my dad would have approved this guy is very kind and nice to me and, besides, my dad liked to drink too

well anyway all this is putting the
before the cart dontcha think?
i mean we are still just trying to see if we can do well in the relationship curriculum of the school of life...
and then, if we do, maybe even have a little recess time in the playground... is all...
he is not an alcoholic i just drove him to drink...
fluffykerfuffle Posted May 14, 2008
hes not an alcoholic... he is the property manager where i live and lives here too and my going gaga over him was very awkward for him... and he didnt understand either...
and since he has "girlfriends here and there" and of that mindset... he probably thought.. why not!
or he was just trying to let me off easy.
be that as it may or not... he has girlfriends... and he isnt an alcoholic
