How could they?! How can I survive without condensed milk? All those wonderful things you can make with it
N*stle are a bunch of 
and I really hate them.....
....and I'm never going to feel the same again.
I feel like its some form of animal that has gone extinct.
*strops off and falls sobbing to bed*
Is anyone else sharing my loss?

Don't think anyone outside of Scottieland knows what tablet is! I always found it far, far too sweet for my delicate wee palate. 
There might be more sympathy on the Scottish Researchers Page?
Is there a problem with condensed milk?
I've been boycotting Nestle products for years - they are a right bunch.

Nestle have stopped producing Condensed Milk. Apparently they are the major source of the stuff and most commercial tablet is made using it. Thus it will now be much harder for tablet makers to get the ingredients they need, so tablet will probably become rarer/more expensive. And just as I am moving back too.
My mum always used Carnation though, so I can probably still get some from her.

As long as there's Evaporated Milk to make snot-coloured Lime Milk Jellies all is OK with the world. Hey it's one of the few things I can eat after my teeth fell out due to tablet.

50+ years on I can recall the joy of getting the big pot to scrape when all the tablet which could be poured out of was gone.
Sat on the back step with the pot and a tea spoon scraping and sooking. Now whaur did Ah pit ma wallies

I like the wee squiggy bits that you put in the saucer of water to check its ready!
Is it possible to make tablet with anything else? What about school caramel cake?

This site mentions condensed milk. It doesn't say whose.

It seems to be a general Scottish site with a directory of Scottish tourist stuff. I don't think it should upset too many mods as it's not a single company site.
