A Conversation for Scottish Researchers Group
SRG T-Shirts!
Fashion Cat Started conversation Oct 14, 2005
Many drunken conversations have occured over this topic. More controversial than DD's politics even!
Well, at long last I am proud to say that I have actually, finally, gotten around to remembering not only discussing this (well, if I'm honest, that was more down to my bro who seems to remain mostly sober at these functions!) but I have actually dug out the quickly drawn scribble from the very depths of my handbag. A feat not many things have accomplished. In fact, not only have I found this erstwhile slip of paper, but I can actually decipher it as well. Wonders never cease!
So. In conclusion and all that, Are folk still interested in purchasing one of these fabulous items? We've come up with a couple of designs and costs will depend on which design goes forward, whether it is a t-shirt or polo etc etc etc.
I need to figure out a way of displaying these pics (maybe I could email them to you EV?), but Alex is confident that if we move quick (I know, it'll be hard but maybe we can do it!), we can get them embroidered for the halloween meet !
Don't forget that on the back I'll put your hootoo name as it currently is, so if you want something else shout!!
So, what do you all think??? There is a minimum order number of 12, but hopefully that shouldnt be too much of a problem. The costs we're looking at are:
£8 per polo shirt
£5 per t-shirt
£14 per zipped sweatshirt
£12 per hooded sweatshirt
Alex uses this company for his uni rugger team, and the stuff they do is really good embroidery on good quality shirts. Both the t-shirts and polo shirts look fab. Personally, I'd prefer a polo shirt but I'm happy to go with the flow.

Kewl! If you send me the pics I'll put them up somewhere for general perusal. Address is on my personal space ("All correspondence regarding Nigerian money laundering schemes should be sent here" as some people seem to have trouble finding it. )

I'm definitely up for one (or more) of these.
My personal preference would be T-Shirt over Polo, and I'd definitely be interested in having both one with "Lost in Scotland" on the back and one with "Ku'Reshtin" on the back.

Did those pics get sent to EV, and if so, have they been posted anywhere?

Ach well, they're not the best, and if you want them jiggled around guys in a better combination just say.
The other decision is are we gonna have a big logo in the middle of the shirt or a small one on the left breast?
Ho hum. Who'd have thought it would be such a complex decision process!

I think they look great!
Personally I favour the original "pint with a straw in it" idea, which would be design 2 or 3. Probably 2, as having just "SRG" as opposed to "Scottish Researchers Group" on it adds that air of mystery.

I quite like SRG as well, but figured whatever combination is most liked we can go with.
Alex really likes the first one - I prefer the pint pot with the straw!

I'm torn between the first and the third.
The first one looks to be clean and simple.
The third one is good with the pint pot, but what I'd say is missing is the frothy head of the ale above the rim of the pot.
Also, I'd go for the "SRG" instead of the "Scottish Researcher's Group" underneath the pint pot.
That's my opinion, anyways.
Then again, I'm not fussy. I'll happily accept any of those designs, and I do like the big 42 and "Don't Panic" on the back.

Since the h2g2 logo is under copyright then that may cause a problem - particularly if being printed up by a company rather than a 'man with a stall'
