Just a small overview of the Men's final, with a bit on the players and key moments of the match.

I'd love some comments, but since I'm at home, and not at college, I can't make too many changes - don't post me down please!
That's not to say that I don't want comments; which will all be gratefully received!

This is a wonderfully dramatic presentation of the whole event (I didn't watch it, and now I'm really sorry!)
There are a few typos and small errors - I'll get back to you tomorrow about them, if you really want to knwo.
Otherwise, I think you should check the footnotes - as far as I know, they should be full sentences, each starting with a capital letter.
It's great stuff, though!

Thanks! I'd love to know what needs doing to the entry; it's just that it may take some
time before I get to it....
I'll have the footnotes done as soon as I can!
Any other comments will be gratefully received!

Right! Here are the changes thus far....
>sorted the footnotes...and added a few more besides
>added statistics for the match
>added some bits of trivia about the players, and the match
I'd love some more comments please! Again; sorry if I can't address them as quickly as I used to....

WD (wanting more as they are too yummy)

Hi, Witty Ditty!
The main thing that struck me reading this again is that in the match highlights you switch back and forward between the present and past tense - I'd be inclined to stick with one or the other. The present tense does make it all sound very immediate.
A few points about usage and so on -
In the 'Mad, Bad' section:
I wouldn't say 'was a finalist of three times previous' - maybe you could say 'was a finalist three times previously' or 'took part in three previous finals'.
In the 'Aussie' section, saying 'post Pat's 97 win' sounds odd (and a bit of a tonguetwister). What about just 'after'? And you say 'he is regarded as being the best serve-volley in the game' - I'd either say 'having' or change it to 'serve-volleyer'.
And you've got a 'whom' and 'whomever' that actually should be just 'who' (Rafter thanking fans on Centre Court, Not an Impossible result) and 'whoever' (Sets one, two).
In describing Rafter (Not an Impossible result), I think you could take out the 'in this researcher's opinion' - anyone who has read this far will agree that it would be sad to see him go, so you don't have to qualify it.
Well, that was purely on the writing side of things - as I said, I didn't watch the match myself. You should ask Archangel Galaxy Babe - I think I saw somewhere that she's a real Wimbledon fan and she might be able to comment on the content.
It's a very gripping article, and looking good so far.
Good luck!

Right! Thanks for the comments; I've tried to act on the changes:
>tenses in the 'match' section altered to the present
>Bit on Goran has been altered
>bit on Pat has been altered
>whom/who has been altered
Any other comments will be gratefully received!

Makes me wonder that none of the scouts has found their way to this great entry yet. Blame it on the holiday season
Another smash hit entry, so it seems to me. I can't comment on the facts, but it's a great piece of reading
