h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Am I the only person monumentally excited by the fact that Elvis Costello will be returning to our sunny shores this November??

No one I know is excited, the only person who's close to the euphoria I'm feeling is the guy I made friends with at the last concert...

...oh well, hopefully no one else is as distracted by it as I am...then I can get good seats when they go on sale

he's a bit mellow for me these days, although my wife did drag me along to see him when he played with just a piano player a few years ago

His new album's due out in a couple of weeks, it's supposed to be very bluesy/rocky...I haven't heard any of it yet though (I've become a musical recluse )

But I think he's last release (When I was Cruel) was more of a return to the "Armed Forces" and "This Year's Model" Elvis...much more of the old angry Elvis than things like "Painted From Memory" or "Mighty Like a Rose"...

Don't get me wrong I loved them...but WIWC was more of the old school stuff...does that make sense...??

Besides which, Elvis is one of those men that just gets more handsome as he ages...

In my opinion...he looks much better now...now I have nothing against the weedy geeky type, but I think that age suits him...or rather it suits me
